No honey, no. I know exactly what a Mary-Sue is, because there’s A LOT more than one type. Just They don’t always have to be “all around nice and perfect”. This so called character is a Mary-Sue because she somehow looks like Danny. Same colors, same type of jumpsuit. She’s just a big copy-cat rather than her own person. And that, my dear, is a type of Sue. If she’s not supposed to be pretty, there needs to be more effort into it! Not to mention, there’s no background for her at all. No effort to properly introduce her to Danny, she was thrown in there without any explanation. I don’t know her because there’s no backstory to her at all. Not the best defense when there’s nothing about her at all, is it?

Second. Nastya isn’t a character who was made only for DP fandom. She has her own history and her own fandom. If her creator didn’t wrote her biograthy in English on DA it doesn’t mean that this character is stupid.
Third. The artist took that DP style only beacuse it’s comfortable to her to draw in it.That’s why I’m saying again: She isn’t a Mary-Sue.
You took an old art. But you haven’t check out that some of OC’s can be changed by the time. And If you don’t know much about the character BIO - don’t write it by your own hand.
